Millennials and Gap Year

Time away from formal education, while not really news in places like the European Union, is a growing trend in this country. With Millennials (born 1980-2000) coming of age in this last decade, our nation has seen everything from a recession to increased awareness of social justice. We value the diversity we see around us and are starting to see the flaws of our system. A popular notion nowadays is that we struggle to get into college, take out loans upon loans so we can get a good job, so we can pay off those loans, so we can die. It's a thought that has scared many of us into stepping back and evaluating where we are and where we really want to be in the form of a Gap Year. Click the link below to explore more on this generational phenomenon and find resources to plan your own Gap Year.
