Re-Mediate: to take something old and transform its message to a new media

 

The vision for the entire Gateway Project, from Re-Purposing to Re-Mediating, started from a video called "A Girl Like Me." Although it came after the Re-Purposed research paper and follows up on the topics discussed there, this video was really the end goal all along. Before a solid groundwork was laid for the first portion of the project, it was clear that it had to preceed an inspirational message on whatever it was that would come out of the Re-Purposing section. Hoping to lift up girls' struggling with body image and sexuality, here it is. The next six minutes and eighteen seconds will, with any luck, have something to say about you.
